I pressed a magic button and now my cursor (the flashing thing that shows where you type) has split and Eclipse now acts as a plain text editor, just like Microsoft Word. The cursor, which normally looks like a “|”, now looks like a “¦” (what Wikipedia calls a ‘broken bar’ or a ‘split ruler’ instead of a normal ‘vertical bar’).
